A Piece of Albany Manufacturing History

Industrial Warehouse - 126 South Port Road - Albany, New York

Property Overview:

NAI Platform’s commercial specialist Tim Sayles and Sales Manager Cory Tyksinski have been awarded the assignment of marketing 126 South Port Road in the Port of Albany. This is an active steel supply facility, owned and occupied by Barker Steel, a major steel and rebar supplier for many local and regional projects such as: The Empire State Plaza, I-787, Latham Circle, and SUNY Albany, to name a few.

The building is 92,754 SF under roof, on 6.07 acres of industrial land at the south end of Port Road. Built in 1967, the steel panel facility, zoned M-1 for General Industrial usage, has climate controlled 8,250 SF office space on two floors, 45’h clear ceilings in the production area with 65’w column bays. The site has an active rail spur and line into the building and direct frontage of 400+ feet along the Hudson River. The property is mostly paved and the building can be accessed on three sides. The current owner/occupant is revising and consolidating their production lines for maximum efficiency and is looking to relocate within the Capital Region or would consider a sale- lease back of a portion of the existing facility to assist a buyer with making the purchase.
